Triple Battles?!?!

o_o in B/W theres a new triple battle system...
for me, single is the standard, double still makes sense and isnt over doing it, but triple x_x c'mon thats kinda unnecessary. cant even imagine how that could work competetivly >_>

why must everybody complain when game series' are changed in little ways? Its the same with Brawl, competetive players hate it because it is so slow compared to melee and 64. Why cant we stop fucking complaining and try to enjoy some of these new features?

well its not exactly a little change. having 3 out at once is literally half your team, and moves like EQ and rock slide will probly hit all 3 at once, which is cheap. it would be pretty rediculous too since pretty much any poke could be KOed by a ganged up attack from all 3 opponents. and yea i get what your saying, im simply stating my opinion that i think its unecessary and a bad idea.

and to answer your question; its probly because ppl dont like seeing games that they have always played being changed in general.

I think it could work out. Having 3 Pokes out, you could counter almost anything. It'd also make moves like Light Screen more useful...

yea im sure theyll also make new moves that play into 3 vs 3 as well....
but i think it just seems too gimicky

if that's done, it would be a really speed based game.....

ikr all you would need are 3 sweepers and its over. even the best wall cant 3 powerful hits at once

It think it'll be fun but pretty soon you'll probly be able to send out all your pokemon at once o.O lol

and I liked how brawl was slower than melee. melee was just too fast for me and it was hard getting good combos x_x

well yea i agree with what you said about brawl

but There are a couple flaws

1) EQ=Cheapest Move Alive

2) Battles based off who goes first

3) No Pokemon is Safe (Cept Sableye and Spiritomb)

ah thats true too, with 3 pokes the other 3 opponents are bound to have something super effective... pretty lame >_>

Eh i dont really like the idea its taking it too far, double battles was clever but this is like hmm how far can we take it, the concept is kinda just a cheap way to capitalize

yea totally, this must have some sort of strange mechanics and idk not totally sure about the triple battles

maybe theyll have triple for ingame stuff but i dont see it becoming a battle type for highly competetive matches.

Well, The same thing was probably said when double battles were introduced, now some people like that. Once triple battles come out and people try them, im sure opinions will change

maybe but doubles is for some reason not to extreme, its an even number, and each poke only has to be concerned about 1 team mate. 3 pokes at once is chotic, it makes 1 poke have to deal with 4 others.

I watched a video on how the 3v3 would work and the thing is:

EO1 EO2 EO3

YP1 YP2 YP3

IF YP1 USES EARTHQUAKE IT WILL ONLY HIT E01, EO2 AND YP2
IF YP2 USES EARTHQUAKE THEN IT WILL HIT EVERYONE (could be a problem)
EO3 USES SURF IT WILL HIT EO2 YP2 AND YP3
Honestly I cant wait for this! Some people might have to rethink there team possibly adding at least one levitate or flying pokemon on there team to doge earthquake or one water pokemon for surf.
