Well they're almost definitely gonna have new mega pokemon in these games (like sceptile and swampert since there's already mega blaziken), so there will be some new stuff probably

I'm pretty happy they're opting to remake gen 3, actually. Those games have come a loooong way from the like.... 16-bit pixely thing of rse. It'd be pretty neat to see how different everything looks now.

Gen 3 was my favorite so I'm glad it's coming back... I wonder how the secret base mechanic will work now...

Let me correct myself I'm honestly against most remakes/remasters because I would rather have a new world to explore than a remastered ore remade world. I'm still on the hype train for these games.

Actually, I read this and thought of the Team magma/aqua bases.
You're talking about the secret power bases, the ones you could decorate, right?
I missed out on that in sapphire/emerald because I got the games late/didn't have anybody around with the cables. But that could be a pretty weet thing to work on. Especially with ev training.
Grab a friend, have them with a team of low level, 6 total blissey. You get 24*6 hp evs just from that. Soooooo much better than other traditional methods.
Besides, gen 4 tried touching up on that again. Maybe something will come of that?

I think it was on serebii, something about ev training. They talked about the bases and said something about people staying there when you connect. That, and then you could rebattle their team as often as you like.

Omy haha, that would make me crazy happy haha. Colosseum/xd were probably my favorite top 5 poke games for nostalgic reasons. Seeing an updated version of those would be pretty satisfying. Even just a tournament style remake (PBR, Stadium) would be neat. But the shadow-mons, story mode, and double battles made XD/colosseum pretty unique.
