Just posted this because I thought it might make an interesting discussion, not saying this is an original idea. It also may be helpfull to anyone wanting to know where their main/ fave character is ranked.

C Tier.... CT should main those haha

Its not about the character, its about the player. To me, everybody is on the S tier.

The tier list is only assumed when playing at a competetive level. By that I mean official offline tournaments and such.

But yes, what you said does count, but characters have good and poor matchups against each other, for example, Snake vs D3 is a match in d3s favour, as he is the best counter for Snake.

He's pretty slow...and his moves that charge up are slow.
Maybe that's y?

Pretty much what Star said. He has very sluggish and predictable moves, a poor air game, no progectile so aproaching is hard and very predictable recovery.

He is only really saved by his high priority (due to sword), powerfull moves and being joint first (along with Ganondorf) for having the most meteor smashes, his Dair, Dtilt, Neutral special (VERY hard to pull off) and his Up special.

yea but he has really good reach, and his Bair, Nair, and side tilt are pretty fast. plus his smashes are really cheap in that they KO so well... or at least his side smash

I wouldnt call his Ftilt quick

well its not super quick but you can use it at a short distance. kinda like warios...

How come samus is so low on the tier list cause she has alot of good to her

but that's balanced by her being a heavy weight character but in the air she is pretty fast i must say and her air attacks are pretty great, she is mostly a short range character but still has good long range with the b's, i mean i get why she isnt that high up but i think she should be higher, idk maybe im biased because im really starting to like playing with her

I actualy dont know why Samus is low....

I think it has to do with her having the slowest roll in the game, and the fact her neutral B is the worst projectile in the game.

I'll look into it though if you want.

hmm true the neutral b sucks but with combo with side b and charged b its not too bad, but i get what u mean with the roll but thanks if u could look into it for me cause i have liked playing with her cause her areal attacks are pretty fluid and easy to use and the spike has a pretty wide range and hit box, when i have like 150% with her i spike someone and then i get hit to and die xD happened to me like 5 times

Well, apart from what I said earlier, she has a very hard time scoring a KO. Her best killing move is her D tilt, but still doesnt KO until around 130% when fresh. Her other options are her side and down smash, but both have a small hitbox, and again dont kill until 130%. If you want a quick kill, you will need to use her Dair or her Bair.

Samus is also one of the characters that can be infinited by DDD's down throw, which doesnt help her tier placement.

how is samus' B worse than fox's? just cuz its a lil slow?

Fox's is usefull for racking up quick damage, as it is fast, can fire rapidly, goes reletively far and has low ending and start up lag.

doesnt do much damage tho and no knock back. plus most of the time you wont get a chance to use it for very long, like on average maybe u hit with 2 or 3 shots.

And? I never said Fox has the best projectile, I just said it was better than Samus'

fine, how is diddy's peanut blaster better? betcha cant think of a reason (besides the tiny bit of healing it can sorta aid in)

Um whats d tilt? sorry i dont know the lingo really i have no clue what tilt is hahaha but i get what u mean that she cant ko until she racks up a lot of damage but can rack that damage up pretty fast still, but still with side b and charged b together makes a good attack even if b alone isnt to great plus her air attacks are great in a lot of ways idk i still think she should be up a bit more

D tilt is where you hold ↓ and then press A. at least thats what it is on the GC controller. Similarly, F tilt is where you hold forward first, and U tilt is where you hold ↑.
ex: ganons U tilt is where he charges up an over-head kick, then crashes it to the ground.
