Well as everyone can see, this site is going down really quickly. I have no idea if this site can even be salvaged from its current state. We can't just site around and let this site that we've all known and loved to rot and die, we need to step up and bring it back to life.

If there are any admins who are willing to step up and form a collaboration with me in an attempt to revive this site, then send me a PM.

i can't seem to get up here like i used to i don't know if it can be brought back....

on another note i use PS now so i'm tons better if i can make some free time i can redo the site design with my improved work but making time for that will be hard

Hmm... Those are good suggestions. If people are willing to put time into improving the site. So we have 2 options:

-Try something on the old eptc site.
OR
-Redesign the site.

Personally, I feel that the site design has nothing to do with the drop in activity. It's a trend every site faces: Old members tend to leave eventually. The reason that sites don't die out is because they constantly get new members that are active so they can replace the ones that become inactive or leave. Just an observation.

In all honesty idk really what good revamping the site without any new or old members coming around here. We had a good run and if its over is that really so bad? As they say all good things must come to an end

all this happened after i became innactive, before that the site was doing just fine, its not the site disign thats the problem. what is the problem? lack of any real desire to stay here or maintain what we have is what im guessing, for most people any way.

hey guys i might have been away for a long time but what if there were new thigs added to EPTC like more pokes added to the shop or even a place for people to post play/walkthrough written or in video.Ya know things like that.

Nah, breeder. we'd have to get new people who don't yet have their "own" site yet. like getting new people. im not really explaining it well, but yeah.

Those are obviously great ideas, the problem being though is that we dont have the leadership or man power with the discipline anymore to do those things and the lack of activity anyways kinda puts the ability to have any improvements to help the site. Though while im not saying that its impossible, its definitely quite improbable.

well i had another idea i have got a youtube account that I created vary recently but i have some people´s channel and i can advertise there also i´ve got my own channel so that would be a solution.

Yeah, I guess all good things must come to an end. We lack manpower and motivation to bring this place back to life unfortunately. People are busy irl and things have changed; we don't have time to be active at this site anymore. It's been a good run, maybe it can be revived later on during summer... who knows?

I have noticed that many other small Pokemon sites have been dying down as well, I guess it's the lack of people involved in the whole Pokemon community as well. Majority of people end up on xats or large sites such as Smogon. I admit to hanging out more at Smogon where it's more active. I guess that's just the way it is.

had things worked out differently we could have broken that trend, but honeslty i cant really stay on here for very long... for a few reasons.

no reason to blame yourself. after an amount of time, it would've happened. the time's just sped up, not too big of a deal...

We've obviously were set on this road for a while. EVerything was doing good. And as much as I would want to go back to the old site...

Honestly i think that trend of smaller sites dying is natural, though i dont have any evidence to back this up it makes sense that with a new generation comes new territory.

Which would cause the community to go one of two ways: one the poke community would fringe to smaller sites and make up their own tiers/rules for the new gen, or two, look to big brother sites who tell people how to play like we have in the past, which is not only convenient but quite effective with smogon tiers and all. larger sites like serebii can bring together more battlers who want to find out the new megagame going on and xats spread them further. Seems like its only logical for the big sites to dominate in a field of uncertainty and help form the metagame more smoothly.

So Z i wouldnt really blame yourself. Your leaving obviously was eptcng's Waterloo, (though id take that in a good way seeing it as how important u were to the site )but because we werent large enough and didnt expand effectively in the summer anyways, it was inevitable that eptc is left to 5 of us posting once every month or so and a few more stragglers peering in to see the sites' empty hallows.

Who knows though maybe this summer with the metagame established and kids with time again maybe eptc can make a little come back, but that all depends on what happens in the future with people and how much free time we all have (and i know i wont have it personally, like everyone else >_<). But hey hoping never hurts and maybe someone will come out of the eptc windwork and be the new leader and run a little comeback for the eptc community, and once again only time will tell.

i'd hate too see eptc go down but i don't think it can be helped my designing skills have improved a lot but i don't have time to do anything i might as well be considered a ex admin

I came back on here to see how everyone was doing and it looks like it's not as bad as I thought it would be.

Maybe we could work on a project on a PO server that I host and get more attention for EPTC. we could do generation 3 battling, make some changes to the PO server so that attacks do something different and make gen 5 more balanced...stuff like that. A fictional metagame.

LPs and walkthroughs of video games are also hip. EPTC could try doing that. I'll help if needed.

but Z don't even come on anymore and he was the creator of this domain kinda hard to work a successful site without the master password


too be completely honest i just don't feel like making time its not that i couldn't move some things around and make time to redo the site but i just don't see eptc reviving at this point its dead and that's just how it is

i lost my inspiration... ever since... never mind...
